Information needed to update from V6
If a user is currently working with Mastercam and Robotmaster V6 and wants to update to the latest version of Robotmaster, they must provide specific information to the reseller or Intercam to ensure the proper project migration.
The conversion includes:
Cell update: Update the user's cell with the geometries and frames from Robotmaster V6, allowing selection and use in the latest version.
Tooling update: Update the user's tooling with the geometries and frames from Robotmaster V6, allowing selection and use in the latest version.
Post-processor update: Customize a new post-processor to replicate the functionality of the one used in Robotmaster V6.
If any of these topics require changes, this will not be considered as a pure migration, and more information about these changes would need to be gathered and probably quoted, depending of the changes.
(The migration does not consider the creation of a new session in the latest Robotmaster version with all the toolpaths and optimizations created and programmed in V6. This work would need to be done again.)
If there are no changes; to collect all the required information, please create a “Pack to Send” of any currently working session from V6 with the project the user wants to update, including the Mastercam session.
Steps to create a “Pack to Send”.
Open the Robotmaster V6 session.
Click the three bars in the top left corner of the Robotmaster V6 interface.
Select “Pack to Send”.
Make sure to check all the possible options unless the “Include part STL” and “Process (SEP)”.
This will save the Mastercam session, the cell, the tooling and the post-processor files in a zip folder.
Please send the zip folder to the reseller or Intercam for review. They will assess the files and estimate the hours needed for the team to update the user to the latest version of Robotmaster.
