Mastercam Single-user Hardware License Installation

This How-To article will show you how to install the single hardware license (HASP) for Mastercam.

The current PC user must have administrative rights to be able to install the single hardware license.
Mastercam software must be installed prior to following these instructions.

This procedure must be done for a new license and also every year maintenance is purchased.

  • This install guide is only for Mastercam Licenses using a purple USB HASP License.
    Purple is for a single-user license and Red is for a network multi-user license.

Instructions

Follow the these steps to install the Mastercam Hardware License:

  1. Insert the purple colored USB HASP hardware license in your computer.

  2. Make sure that the red LED inside the USB lights up. This will signify that the computer has installed the necessary drivers and is ready to be used by the computer.

    1. If the computer doesn’t have Internet access or Windows Update is disabled on by a Windows Group Policy, the necessary drivers might not be installed. The Hardware license (USB HASP) drivers can be downloaded here (outside link - Mastercam X2 and Newer Drivers )

  3. From the Windows Start Menu, Browse to the Mastercam Licensing Utilities folder and click on HaspX.

  4. Make sure that the HaspX software can read the USB Hasp, if not refer to this article from the Robotmaster Help Center - https://robotmaster.atlassian.net/wiki/x/FwCAN

  5. Click on Update Code to bring up the “Select an Update Code File” folder window.

  6. Browse to the .HCODE file from your reseller, select the file and then click Open.

  7. The HaspX window will return with some code in the Update Code field. Click on Update to update the purple USB HASP.

  8. If the update works properly, the bottom status text will say, “HASP XXXXXX successfully updated”.

    1. If there is an error with updating your code, please contact your reseller.

If for any reason you feel that you might not be using a legitimate copy of Mastercam, please contact Intercam support at support [at] intercamsa.com. Include in your email the SIM # on the purple HASP with your email as well as your company and contact information.

You can also open the HaspX License Control application by double-clicking on the .hcode file.
