Install Moduleworks CustomApps LAM Ribbonbar
This How-To article will show you how to install Moduleworks CustomApps Laser Aided Manufacturing application on the Robotmaster Ribbonbar in Mastercam 2020.
This How-To assumes that you have already installed the Moduleworks CustomApps software, and that you have already installed the Robotmaster V6 Ribbonbar. If you haven’t done so please install the Robotmaster V6 Ribbonbar before using this How-to.
The Moduleworks CustomApps installer includes all supported Moduleworks apps for Mastercam 2020. In this document we will show you how to install the Ribbonbar for use with LAM only.
Instructions
Follow the these steps to install Moduleworks CustomApps LAM Ribbonbar:
Open Mastercam 2020.
Right-click anywhere on the Mastercam 2020 Ribbonbar. Then click on Customize the Ribbon….
Once the Options window loads, click on the Robotmaster (Custom) Tab and then click on the arrow to expand the Tab to show the custom groups.
With Robotmaster (Custom) selected, click on New Group.
This will create a New Group (Custom) inside the Robotmaster Tab.
With the New Group (Custom) highlighted, click on Rename….
In the Rename Display window, type Moduleworks and then click OK.
Now that the Moduleworks (Custom) group has been added to the Robotmaster (Custom) tab, we need to scroll on the commands window, until we find mw5axCustomApps Laser aided manufacturing.
With the Moduleworks (Custom) group still selected on the right-hand side, click on the mw5axCustomApps Laser aided manufacturing from the commands, and then click Add>.
After adding the mw5axCustomApps Laser aided manufacturing, click on Add>, one more time to add the mw5axCustomApps License info
This has now added the command mw5axCustomApps Laser aided manufacturing to the Moduleworks (Custom) group. Click OK to exit.
You can view the mw5axCustomApps Laser aided manufacturing command by clicking on the Robotmaster tab.
When ready to launch mw5axCustomApps Laser aided manufacturing, remember to be in Mill mode and have a support machine type selected before clicking on mw5axCustomApps Laser aided manufacturing.
The Moduleworks software license (.mw5xca_lic) must be installed before you can use mw5axCustomApps Laser aided manufacturing. See the Moduleworks License Request/Installer How-To here if you need to request and install the license.
